About the Role

We are looking for a person to join our office team as an accounts assistant, undertaking tasks such as updating & reconciling ledgers, invoicing, filing, mail handling, bank reconciliation, petty cash and answering phone calls. As an accounts assistant, you should be able to work independently and within a team. You will be required to attend all scheduled day trips and any residential trips during the school holidays. *Flexible Working Hours*

Requirements

As an Accounts Assistant, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  1. Work with spreadsheets

  2. Prepare statutory accounts

  3. Invoice Processing

  4. Record and Process expenses and payments

  5. Sort out incoming and outgoing daily posts and answer any queries

  6. Manage petty cash transactions

  7. Organise and manage travel expenses

  8. Credit Control

  9. Cashbook Maintenance

  10. Liaising with suppliers

  11. Basic administration

  12. Updating and maintaining procedural documentation

  13. Maintaining the company purchase and sales ledgers

  14. Liaising with third-party providers

SKILLS NEEDED

  1. Previous experience working in an accounts team or credit control (Desirable)

  2. Passion for numbers

  3. Calculations skills

  4. Attention to detail

  5. Outstanding organisational and time management skills

  6. Ability to multitask and prioritise daily workload

  7. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

  8. Proactive problem solver

  9. IT skills

  10. Team Work Skills

About the Company

Spread Ur Wings Foundation are based in Thornton Heath, with a group of leaders and trainee leaders who are passionate about educating the youth on the world surrounding us. We believe that the children in this area need a warm, safe place to build beneficial bonds, gain advice with mentors and to gain necessary life skills. We charge £3 a day for 11-18 year olds and 5-10 year-olds.
